DOLBY TAKEN 20 YEARS OUT OF MUSIC TO SET UP AN COMPANY CALLED BEATNIK INC.IF YOU HAVE A MOBILE PHONE THEN WHEN IT RINGS YOUR ACTUALLY LISTENING TO THOMAS DOLBY.ALL PHONE MANUFACTURES HAVE LICENCED THE RINGTONE FROM BEATNIK INC.HE ACTUALLY MADE THE RINGTONES WITH A SYNTH,IT IS ESTIMATED THAT 700 MILLION HAS BEEN USED ON PHONES AND HE GETS A PERCENTAGE ON EACH PHONE THAT SELLS, SO BASICALLY HE PRETTY WELL OFF.

@911chrystal do you know what.i done the same,i went into a second hand shop for a nose about and come across the golden age of wireless.something about the cover attracted me and bought it for 50p in 1983.turns out its very rare with a recording of The Wreck of the Fairchild on it which is a us release.dont know what it was doing in a secondhand shop in liverpool.since then ive seen him live 6 times.hes just released an cd,brilliant.
