This is a recording of students from
Hill Elementary School interviewing
Coach Paul Bryant during "Wendell
Hudson Day" at Parker High School
in the spring of 1973.
The 1973 Bryant team would go on
to win a "National Championship,"
the very first Alabama football team
so designated that included
African American student athletes.

The young people had just
started the "video project" and
were really not sure what to do.
Who was more confused--the students
or the teacher?
Yet, Coach Bryant, with "class," patiently
and calmly continued on, treated the students
as if they were CBS professionals, and
made the interview a memorable success
and a "winner."

The original video was recorded on
a Sony AV-3650 video tape recorder.

About 1980 the video was copied to a VHS cassette
and recently from the cassette to DVD.
The DVD was converted to FLV file and uploaded to
You Tube..
Too bad there were no "Flip" camcorders in 1973.
