A shadow of cloud passes across the hay field next to our home.
The wind hisses through the grass. The trees softly moan.
Just across the lip of the hill your shape moves in silhouette.
I feel night's damp and cool but the dark hasn't covered us yet.

Fields of memory, stretched and thin,
Walk across the way again.
Seams unending, mined for years,
Rise and fall and disappear.

This morning I stumbled as I tried to rise from my bed.
The night before had left a spinning ache in my head.
I smiled and turned to share the moment with a set of empty sheets.
It doesn't get easier with you trespassing in my dreams.

With you gone even simple things seem so wrong.
Days pass by like rain but feel nothing like moving on.

@ThePiedpiper81 Thanks, bro! I added in the heavy vocoder effects because of some...tuning issues. I think it turned out pretty well in spite of the heavy processing, though. When are we recording something?
