  • Sure wish there was an auto save. I just had Chrome crash and lost all 7 tabs I had open. Reopen and there is no way to get them back. Two and a half years since this video and they haven't really added much.... It may not be the best browser but stuff like this makes me miss Opera when I use Chrome :-\

  • Damnit there was a key bind for this but I forgot which one.

  • AND I want to be able to make a bookmarked named "GR," and when I type GR into the URL bar, it'll go to the URL I have associated with it! It astounds me that this is not implemented!

  • That is not session restore; that's tab restore. Session restore is when I can save a session and go back and retrieve it, like in Opera. Chrome may be the best browser for compatibility, but for a workspace, it is very poor. It needs session save/restore, the ability to stack tabs, a download manager that doesn't take up screen space, and for the love of all that's holy, being able click a tab to minimize it. I hate having to hunt for tabs I just opened or left.

  • when i click on the wrench on the upper right, the menu that drops down does NOT look like the one on this video at all. what the SHIT!

there is no 'Options' on the list.. wtf i need to restore all the tabs from last session this isnt helping.

and of course im NOT using a windows :)

  • Hey, Nick, you know what else works just as well? HOTKEYS.

Let's say you're... typing a YouTube comment just like this one, but when you try to type a capital 'W' ( ← hey, like that one!), maybe you hit Ctrl+W instead of Shift+W. Your tab closed—it's witchcraft! But not to fear... because you can re-open the tab without even moving your hand! Just hit Ctrl+Shift+T, a shortcut that's been around before Chrome even existed. No more awkward fumbling with the mouse or looking for miniaturized links.

  • google don't try to hide your shortcoming....just rectify it....

    damn...i still love opera... :D

  • That's not full session store .....it just brought one window back......other option is irritating if I don't want my previous tabs and windows each time I start my browser.

These options are all walk-arounds......correct method is what Opera uses....I can store as many sessions as I want for as long as I want

  • And BAM, there it is.
