@dwpny Because you put extra catalyst in the resin so that it kicks faster (hotter).

when you glass a board do you put two layers of fiberglass on at once or put one layer on let it dry then put another on?

@SURFAWOLF It just needs to be gelled up before you do the hot coat. It doesn't need to be fully cured.
