i'm 22 years old; most people my age don't watch westerns but i think they're pretty good movies to watch and i think that john wayne was a great actor and man. i believe he was a just man to all races of people because in his movie, he told this black man that was a killer on the loose, "i don't have a racist bone in my body but i shoot you dead as quick as i would a white man." classicp.s. i'm blk 2

@kiowa473 I feel, you man. And even if John had just pulled strings to stay out of the military, the service he did to this country through his films was equally as valuable. We wouldn't know tough or badass quite as well if it weren't for the Duke.

@fuglymidgets The problem with that quote is during the war John Wayne was not an A list actor. He didn't have that kind of pull. But he did enlist for the OSS at John Fords request.
