~Alyssa's POV~
"Carlos, where are you going?" I asked him. "We have Spanish together... and it's that way..."
Carlos grinned mischievously. "Shh! I'm taking a bit of a detour."
"How big of a detour?"
"Let's just say that I certainly won't be getting to Spanish class on time... or at all possibly," he said, grinning a bit. "I already know Spanish! There's no need for me to go."
I sighed. "Oh Carlos... come on!"
"Why?" he whined. "Come on, Lyss! You've got to have some fun every once and a while!"
"Not by skipping class on the first day of school I don't," I replied. "Come on, Carlos!"
Carlos pouted. "Fine. But you have to promise that, someday, you'll skip class with me. I don't care when. Just promise."
I sighed. "Fine!"
Carlos smiled. "Good! You need to have some fun every once and a while."
I rolled my eyes. "I'm SORRY that I'm just trying to pass Spanish class. We can't all be latino boys like you, who already speak the language fluently, you know."
Carlos laughed. "Oh, okay Lyss. Whatever you say."
I stuck my tongue out at him, and he laughed even harder. "Come on!" I called to him. "We're already in danger of being late."
"FINE!" he sighed, smiling a little bit though. "Whatever you say, Lyss."

~Tori's POV~
"Why are your eyes closed and your fingers crossed?" Logan asked me as we walked out of art class.
"I already have one horrible teacher this year, I'm hoping that I don't have one for English too," I answered. "I'm praying that Mrs. Christopher really did retire."
"Well, I guess that we'll find out soon enough... watch out!" he said, I suddenly felt his hands on my shoulders, stopping me from taking another step.
"What?" I asked opening my eyes and staring straight at the column in front of me. "Oh... geez, that would have hurt. Thanks." I said. "Wow, you really aren't evil... are you?"
He smiled. "Oh, great, I guess that I have to step up my evilness a bit."
"No," I said, smiling back. "Don't. Stay... like this. For some reason, I have a feeling that this is the real you. Not that sneering, evil boy I knew last year. I can just feel it."
"What are you, a mind reader or something," he said, chuckling a bit. "How can you tell?"
"I'm not a mind reader; I'm just amazing," I said, laughing. "Now... the moment of truth... English."
"I'm not sure that I want to enter the classroom," Kendall said, walking up behind us, next to Ashlynn. "If we have Mrs. Christopher, I think that I'll die."
"You guys are here too?" Alyssa asked, walking up, standing next to Carlos. "And really worried about out new sophomore English teacher?"
"Yeah... I AM!" James shouted, actually running up, chasing after CJ, who was storming down the hallway.
"Wuss," CJ muttered, walking right into the classroom.
"She's a brave soul," Alyssa said, solemnly.
"I heard, that Mrs. Christopher once made a kid cry," James whispered. "and he was A TEENAGE BOY!!"
"I heard that she once set fire to a kid's hair," Alyssa said solemnly, while Carlos grinned evilly at James.
James whimpered and clutched the top of his head.
"Oh just come on!" CJ shouted from inside the classroom. The rest of us still couldn't see the teacher's desk.
"Just push James in first," Carlos whispered loudly. "It's a sacrifice that I'm willing to make."
"The bell is about to ring!" CJ warned.
Carlos shoved James in front of him, and walked into the classroom. Kendall (the last person in line) crossed the threshold just as the bell rang.
"Look who's our sophomore English teacher," CJ said, grinning.
I looked towards the front desk, and my mouth dropped open.
"Hey guys!" Miss Thresher said, smiling. "Ready for another year?"

@CassidyXOXO Oh, that's good. I decided to focus on both my writing and basketball. So when I join the team next year, In high school, I'll be able to compete with the other players who are probably better than me :D
