This is a tribute to the wonderful Ricky Nelson. His songs were simple, but his voice was so appealing and smooth. Ricky was a charmer, but never took all the glory. Although he was a teenage idol, he was a true performer at heart. Enjoy. Vally

@dancewitme211 Exactly right. I was a kid back then when Ricky was on t.v. singing his songs to us. His father Ozzie was able to 'sneak' rock 'n' roll into American homes because of his son. Even the adults back then admired Ricky and his family. He was a very humble guy.

@49kasey I have to agree that although he was absolutely gorgeous Ricky didn't go around being arrogant and disrespectful. Parents did a wonderful job raising their sons. Nowadays kids have respect for no one. They're go around acting selfish, bad-mouth everyone with a feeling of entitlement about everything.

I use to sell newspapers on the studio lot. I think it was on Mc Cadden Place or Las Palmas in Hollywood. I was accepted by the t.v. crew and the Nelsons. Rick was pretty shy. David was really nice and went out of his way to talik with me. I was only 12 at the time. Harriet gave me some of Rick's clothing that he out grew. Nice, nice family!
