I couldn't agree more. I loved that Brenda had Lois and Robin as best friends in the past. Although I was so happy to see VM come back in '02, I felt that the writers didn't think her storyline through enough...it was just a harsh and unnatural repeat of her relationships (and failures) with Sonny and Jax. It's sad how Brenda used to be a character all her own, but with Jax and Sonny moving on, they made it seem that Brenda no longer fit or had a purpose in Port Charles. Bad job GH. :*(

lois was so right.he was very scared and that could explain their whole relationship.why he lied back then and the way he acted in 2002.sonny was in control of his relationships after brenda.he set the pace.he loves and leaves em;with brenda he could'nt do that.all she had to do was tear up and he was a goner.

Brenda took Sonny to levels no other woman EVER has.....he couldnt help himself when he was with her....he loved her hard. It scared him to death! Brenda is his heart and soul....he would flip out at the thought of loosing her.....S&B TILL DA WHEELS FALL OFF!

Very accurate assessment. That fiasco in 2002 with him telling Brenda Carly was his life was a total joke . He loved having his love life under his control - with Brenda it was a wildfire. He knew he could not control her and it scared him. U hit it.

I just read your original comment again and think we are talking about different things. I think in the larger view of their relationship, you are probably right. But I was talking about Sonny's behavior in the previous scene: Sonny & Brenda- "Why can't anyone say it to me?!"

we will agree to disagree about that but i wonder what show you watched. that scene was about sonny and his trust in brenda. with s & b it's not just black and white,there are shades of grey.

I disagree. If you watch the previous scene, this was the first time Sonny really started opening up to Brenda about his haunted past. He exposed himself and was pissed she could be thinking about Miguel when this was such a serious moment for him. Lois alludes to that is this scene when she talks about him carrying around garbage.
