The Intrepid returns to New York on October 2, 2008 after refurbishment first in Bayonne, New Jersey and then in Staten Island, New York. The Intrepid is a World War II aircraft carrier which is now the Intrepid Museum. The views are from Jersey City, New Jersey. On its way to its permanent berth on the West Side of New York, the Intrepid passed the Statue of Liberty and the area of the World Trade Center destroyed on September 11, 2001.

I work for the Uss Intrepid Museum and i was on board her when she was towed back to her placeof honor at Pier 86. It was one of the greatest moments of my life.
