  • My dad was at that race, but can't remember the year. The town of Rudyard is abuzz trying to name the racers.

  • @exmartin6fan Unfortunately, since I was only 3 at the time, I am no help.

  • great stuff, thanks for uploading; its got to be '65-'66 though, as SnoJet didn't come out with their first sled as MY 1965 I believe with very small numbers produced. Those guys on the front drive Bolens are funny, they look like they have good traction though!

  • @Mopar21277 Unfortunately, my Dad did not have a date on this particular reel. But when I go back and look at the original transfer, I can barely make out the logo on the advertising banner at 1:37 in the clip above. It says "D-DAY 65" so

I assume this footage must've been taken in '65.

  • The green sled, is it skiroule or may be trail a sled (first scorpion)...??

Fantastic !! very nice and funny video..

    Thanks for posting!!!

  • very cool video thats my dad on the yellow bolens not sure if its the same sled but we still have one in the garage, some of his grandkids took it out for a ride last winter. The sled is slow by today's measure but it's still fun to drive .

  • The video is awesome but I'm thinking that a little informative narration would make it very cool. How about a little info on the sleds and maybe a little play by play commentary on the action. Thanks for posting!!!

  • Fantastic!!!, most beautiful sleds, simplicity as such is long gone .... how i luv watchin old school
