Natan Glassman, 57 years old from Canada, has been spending the past fifteen years, at least two months every year, in IDF bases across Israel wearing IDF work uniforms and completing various tasks, depending on the nature of the base where he was put to work. The most interesting thing about Natan's story is that he is not alone; not even close. Every year the IDF "drafts" about four thousand volunteers from countries around the world. Volunteers of all ages, from the age of 14 to the age of 92, arrive in Israel as part of the "Sar-El" project for a few weeks' stay in the IDF. They work in various jobs that the base has to offer, from folding parachutes to organizing reservists' supply bags.

An IDF Spokesperson camera crew accompanied the latest "Sar-El" group in their journey in Israel, from their landing in Israel, their arrival and stay at their base, ending at their final trip to the Old City of Jerusalem.
