I hope he isn't a rabi. It was talking about scrolls. You cannot write on sticks. He was told to get two scrolls and write the prophesies and history of these two kingdoms(Judah & Israel.)

Don't stop reading so early; continue on and you will find that it's not talking about scrolls . . . if you read Ezekiel--you'd find that he used the word for scroll several times earlier in the book. It's not related to Joseph's Myth.

I just wanted to confirm if Ezek.37 is referring to the regathering of Israel as a nation. It's what I understand scripture is saying. If this is so, then I believe, along with the many escatological scholars that this occurred on May 14, 1948 when Israel declared it's own nationhood after over 2000 years in dispersement.

No. not necessarily. In Ezekiel 37, it speaks of the 2 kingdoms be reunited. The northern kingdom of Israel was taken by Assyrians and is still in exile, scattered, i.e. The 10 Lost Tribes of Israel. The Babylonian captives of the southern kingdom of Judah, are those who returned under Cyrus the Great after Babylon fell to him; is the nation of Israel as we know it. The Israelites couldnt lay any claim to the promised land due to centuries of Roman Rule, Crusades and Holy War.
