Don't reload it's an addictive hobby.

Damn dude that was a great vid! I just got a 600 JR today and you just showed a great loading method. Your for sure getting 5 stars from me. Any chance you will do another one with comintary on the universal charge bar? I want to get one of the charge bars but would like to hear you talk about it a bit first.
Thanks again

question how reliable is the mec 600Jr mark 5? I was thinking about getting one and using a 3-1/2" conversion kit to reload for it and it seems like it would be a good option but I don't know how much work the conversion kit would be either and if adjustments would be necessary afterwards as well.

Is this black/white?

dang great VIDEO, love your technique. If you have sometime how about a video setting up each station, the procedure as documented in the manual is confusing.
-
@Malfyre Hey sir, what kind of powder do you use exactly?
-
@747pro you can reload any gauge on a 600 jr. but you have to buy the conversion kits that are 122 bucks a piece. For 30 dollars more you can get a brand new loader. Remember, you have to buy new powder bushings and charge bars. All in all it is cheaper to buy new loaders, especially used ones that are in good condition.

@hello12165 It depends on what powder you are using and how many grains of powder you want to load. If you are small game hunting or trap shooting, load 18 grains of powder. TiteWad (the cleanest on the market) uses a #25 powder bushing, 700-X uses #28, CLAYS uses #27...I would get a #26 powder bushing and then you can use just about any smokeless shotshell powder and be between 16 and 22 grains of powder depending on what brand. Anymore questions just send me a message.

Most people only use one station at a time. You are using all of them at once. Making this single stage press more like a progressive. I just bought a MEC 600 Jr. Mark 5 this morning for $65 can't wait to get it going. Thanks

Totally none instructional, no expaination of what each station is for.. no useful information for someone who wants to know about the MEC Jr..... just you sitting in front of your press in total silence....And people give this a Four Star rating?.... Sorry i dont see the point of the Video....
What and where would a good deal for buck shot balls be? I'm looking as cheap as possible for steel balls for a 7-9 ball load. There are a lot of expensive buys and I'm trying to get creative or find a cheaper spot. I live in Southern California, and shipping is horrendous from out of state. Thanks!

I haven't seen any buck shot that wasn't lead, or copper plated lead. Steel isn't very heavy (compared to lead) so your alternatives are few. I was considering Hevi-shot but it is expensive.

Is it possible to reload 8 gauge shells with this machine because, my great grap. passed down a double barreled 8-gauge shotgun for duck hunting. They don't make the ammunition anymore (and paying someone to reload is beyond me because, everyone that I have contacted can't do 8 gauges). I was thinking of buying one of these machines if, it is possible to reload 8 gauge shells (4 inch).

MEC don't have a machine that does 8ga. but I bet someone does. There are wads available.
