-A Jailbroken Ipod Touch/Iphone Running ANY Firmware
-WiFi access on your iPod/iPhone
-Computer connected TO THE SAME NETWORK AS THE iPod/iPhone

try to re-enter the ip, and make sure your ipod is connected to WiFi

install community sources and you should have it somewere. Also you can follow the same steps (more or less) to SSH with winSCP, a program that does the same task, but its free

-Go to CUTE FTP PRO and click new--> SFTP(SSH2) Site.

-The Label can be anything you like

-In The HOST ADDRESS type in your iPods IP

-The default username FOR ALL IPODS/IPHONES is root, and the password is alpine

-Hit Connect. If It works, congradulations. If not try again, and make sure everything needed is in place.

-Check Your Ipods IP address. (Do this by going to settings --> wifi-->

then touching the blue arrow besdie the network your connected to. Be SURE TO WRITE DOWN THE IP

it says the host validation failed check that the username and password are correct. what do i do?

this may be useless.. but when i first tried to use the SSH and i turned it on w/ boss prefs i had to restart my iPhone by holding down the top right button, shutting it down then starting again.
