These are so motivational when you are doing a water fast yourself. I'm on a day 2 now and am not feeling horrible yet, although I was yesterday. I've tried doing a water fast before but I stopped at day 2 each time because I felt so bad... But now I think I can make it further.

I am suprised that you were feeling weak... although it's an ONLY water fast, so that could be a huge difference from mine. I am doing a 7 or a 10 Monastery Fasting twice a year but I do take the juice of cooked vegetables as lunch and dinner. I cook many veggies in the beginning, then through away the veggies and drink the juice. I feel ENERGIZED once I passed the 3rd or 4th day. After 7 days I am busting from energy. Interesting though! @TheLegalAssassin take your weight and divide it by 4, then subtract that by your weight. that's close to what you'll likely weigh if your doing a water only fast in 4 weeks.

@crispybacon100 great, i am preparing to do a water fast in the next few days. i havnt done a complete water fast in over 7 years. last week i did juice fast for 3.5 days in preparation for this week.

@crispybacon100 didn't you feel really fatigued? How much exercise did you do?
How much weight could someone expect to lose in a 35- 40 day fast? I'm just curious.

You survive off your bodies built up fat after the sugars in your body are used up. Fasting caused rapid weight loss and a sort of cleansing of the body.
