I will be doing more gaming to be honest. A lot of people have been recommending either the Astro A40 or the Sennheiser 360. I have also heard of the Beyerdynamic MMX 300?

@LilxYoungsta I would say yes, but they are your ears. I'm not sure how the s logic works with different ear shapes. You might consider finding a place that you could do a listening test but most online retailers accept returns within ~2weeks if you don't like them. You can watch my video on the HFi-780's too and that might help in your decision making. Just go to my profile and it will be the featured video.

would these babies be good for strictly underground hip hop usage? in other words, hip hop without the autotune, is that well suited for that type of headphone? Im assuming it is since you said the bass is "oomph-y".

@hallal55 no... the m50s run $150 or less for street price. Today, the Ultrasones run for $150 as well if you look. So I'd go for the ultras
