I find it to be exactly what i need for what i'm doing, good tone, good volume out of the instrument, strings are the really changing factor in it, the ones that came on it weren't bad but i switched them out quickly, but the best advice to give is try it out in a music store, get a feel for it, then make your decision, but it is worth checking out, i would recommend it for value and quality.
