@RotaxKarting12 Just in terms of how the engine drives, it IS boring in comparison with virtually all other kart engines. It sounds horrible, the motors are nowhere near equal, it is known for having a poor bottom and poor top end etc etc. I raced one and they are clearly a winning formula in terms of grids and rebuild times i agree, but the driveability is less than inspiring! here is my 100cc on my rotax chassis, much better! lol!

@Riches181 boring? They provide some of the best racing in karting. Shifters are fun but their races can get too spread apart and therefore cause for a dull race. Rotax makes it all about the driver which is why you will see more close action racing. Not saying that it is the best engine in karting but it is most definitely not boring and no where close to "the worst two-stroke ever made." Plus, it goes 40-50 hours between rebuilds!

@Riches181 you can't call 'em boring, not the ones with the power valve, they are absolutely not boring, I my hands they are not, I don't know how you drive with those engines??? I have driven a shifter too, those are indeed better, soon I'm gonna sell my rotax and buy a CRG with a TM both from 2010!
but the Rotax Max engines are very reliable, and just as fast as KF3 engines!

@henkdecitroen13 wahahahaha!!!!! Rotax max the best kart engines ever made??!! No no no no no, what other engines have you driven?? the rotax is a horrendously boring engine, the worst two-stroke ever made. great vid all the same though!!
