  • As I sit here watching this video, I noticed that it is true that the Statesmen had a stage presence like no other.

  • I have to agree. When I see any videos of the Statesmen, its clear that the standard they set, STILL hasn't been matched.

  • The Tenor is Sherrill Neilson. He was the original Tenor for the Imperials. After left the Statesmen, he joined Elvis Presley. Later he sang Tenor with the Masters 5.

  • this gave me a raging boner

  • Man, oh man! You wanna talk about performing in the confidence of the holy spirit. Stage presence! You don't think they were having too much fun were they? They were only born to do it! What a powerful, dynamic performance!

  • I'm 72 and have been in gospel singing all my life. The Statesmen were so far ahead of their time. Their songs are ageless.

  • I grew up listening to the GREAT Statesman.I love this song so much. It moves in my heart so much. I play this all the time. They are the greatest!!!!.

  • It's interesting watching their different stage personalities. Doy is much more calm than the others.

  • these words are so true !! Thank GOD

  • Jack Toney sang this on the record, but this is awesome!
