  • Jay, you are so full of shit. Mike, we like you.

  • @ResponsibleSnowflake Thank you for supporting our show.

  • The character development was necessary especially since they are making the second one. Mike, I understand how you didn't like how they were focusing on basically two story lines, but thats exactly how the book is. The chapters are dates and it basically goes back and forth with Lisbeth and Mikael on that day. Jay, wow, Daniel Craig is a star, he doesn't have any blockbuster films, but ask anybody, they'll know who he is. This is not a remake of the swedish freaking movie!! It is on the book

  • @SpidermanJewishman I understand that the book has two story lines at the beginning and I really like that. What I didn't like was the time they spent showing each. They could of shown both in less amount of time. It was just lazy editing in my opinion, almost like Fincher or the editor were married to the footage that was shot. And Daniel Craig does have the bond films witch are blockbusters.

  • I always agree with Mike, Jay makes no sense.

  • I'm pretty sure Daniel Craig and Robin Wright are both huge stars, with Rooney Mara stealing the thunder from BOTH of them. I actually liked this version more than the Swedish one (though it's not a remake), simply because I felt like Rooney gave Lisbeth more depth than Noomi did. I'm actually hoping she wins the oscar for it, though she'll probably lose to Streep or Williams due to political influence. I'm just glad that unlike this review implied, the Oscars kind of did "fly at this thing."

  • @mrchandler490 It showed a LOT more than that...

  • "The problem of the film is that there is no big star, there isn't the 'Tom Cruise' of the situation". IT IS NOT A PROBLEM. NOW STFU.

  • "It's not like Oscars are gonna fly at this thing". 5 nominations later...

  • Lol. I thought Benjamin Button was Fincher's weakest movie (besides Alien 3).

  • She said, "Lisbeth Mara"...

  • mikes face is beautiful

    :3

  • @SpidermanJewishman Agreed... For me, the film was too compressed, not much they can do though it was already long. The events before the the two characters meet are a substantial chunk of the story and important to the pacing.

  • In the book series the entire first book is a platform for the actions of the second book, and the reactions of the third. Without the character development up front you have no basis for the characters acting the way they do in the extraordinary situations that come about in the other two novels. To sum up... the first book is entirely character development subtly interjected within solving a mystery... if you reduced the character development you would have nothing left in the movie.
