  • Tammy hit #37 in Billboard, 5-31-97. God bless! Hugs to ya, for postin' it! Thanx!

  • @DaveWollenberg you are very welcome! God Bless! and hugs back.

  • I have been looking for this song for years!!! Words cannot express how much it means to me to find this song. The first time I heard it was a few weeks after my dad was told he had 6 months to live. I was 17 and knew he wouldn't be there to walk me down the aisle and I have been searching for this song for years. Thank you so much for posting it!!

  • @IreneS917 Your very welcome. :-)

  • My sister is getting married August 29 - we would like to play this song in honor of our dad - I'm unsure of what we are supposed to be doing while the song is playing though - we don't want to just sit there and cry - should my sister dance with her groom while it plays??? Any suggestions?

  • Hi mrrockydog I agree you do not want to just sit there crying while listening to the song. I think your idea is wonderful where your sister could dance with her groom. You could also maybe have a slide show of photos as the song plays, showing photos of you your sister, and your fathter and Mother as the song plays. I think that would be good idea. I know your father will be watching over and will be in your sisters heart. God Bless. :)

  • My daddy just passed away about 3 weeks ago at the age of 49. I was blessed to be able to have him walk me down the aisle at my wedding and to bless him with his grandbabies before God called him home and I just feel for my sisters who don't get to have those same opportunities I had but I know that our daddy will be beside them and me through every part of our lives. I love you daddy!!!!

  • My daddy passed away when I was six years old, I'm 17 now. This song was his request to have played at my future wedding. My mom and I have been searching for it for years. Thank you for posting this, I can now honor my daddy's wish. Thank you and God Bless.

  • The first time I herd this song, I cried for days. Then I didn't hear it again. I have been looking for it for years. I am glad I finally found it.

  • I still have my dad in my life but every time I hear this song I always think of my Mama who I lost when I was five years old. I never really knew her and she passed away so young, I just really wish she could be there when I decide to get married one day. I wish she was here to give me advice.

  • I remember the first time I heard this. A friend of mine was telling me someone asked her to sing this at her wedding and everytime she tried to rehearse it, she broke down. I had to listen and when I did I about died. So beautiful

  • i love this song sooooooooooooooooo much

  • Beautiful Song. Tammy did a great job with it.

  • This is a lovely presentation of the song. It never fails to make me cry. The year this song was on the radio, I married a fireman's daughter (I am logged in on her account). Every third day, he kissed his wife goodbye knowing it could be the last time. Thankfully, he was able to walk my lovely bride down the aisle. But, even the possibility that he might be unable to do so made the song that much more heartrending for me. I had to pull off the highway the first time I heard this song.
