The level at 0:16 kicked my arse so hard as a kid. If only I knew about drifting back then.. (how did I make it that far without drifting? Geez.)

How come you can keep up with those A.I. players even though you make so many mistakes? Is this Super Mario Kart: The Easy Edition or something? In my version of Super Mario Kart I can't keep up with them even if I make no mistakes and drive exactly like in the video. Also, I never get a lightning bolt or any other good power ups, only the banana peels and mushrooms, even if I press A instantly. Any tips you could share? I've been battling with this cup for ten years...

I don't know. After SMK, Koopa Troopa didn't appear again in the series until Mario Kart Double Dash.
