This makes me feel, my poems are crap
-
@peppita1234 Well I can only offer MY interpretation. But to me she's saying that she had a relationship with someone, and they both have they're faults in it. She is currently in a place where she's trying to accept and execute the concept of forgiveness and redemption, while trying not to get lost in the process. The "11 hours" is the process of pondering, trying and regretting. Her belief at the end of the 11 hours is that she is "agnostic" and will believe in love when she really finds it.

@wordjunkiee can you please just decipher the whole poem....i mean the words, analogies, and metaphors are amazing in itself, but when i really see what is behind each sentence, it gives the poem new life

@Koribaby1 "Are apologies labor of sweat after all? Should I salt them from my brown then build us an underwater reef, or merely admit that I'm human?" Meaning is it really physically exhausting to admit when you're wrong and say that you're sorry to someone? Because that's how she currently feels. Or should she just say that she's human and capable of mistakes. The part about "egotism" and "sharks" means that she admits pride is easy to give in to & saying sorry is difficult. Hope that helps!
-
I just got confused. What was she trying to say with that?
-
loved it but dont understand, what is it about?
-
the two people who disliked this, just didn't get it. i'm sure.
-
Sexy, Beautiful, poetic beyond belief, dances with language like I wish she'd dance with me... GOD DAMN, I'm in love.
-
"Are apologies labors of sweat after all? Should I salt them from my brow then build us an underwater reef or merely admit I'm human? And no that's not an excuse, just meant to say egotism is an easy tide and I've never known a shark to be selfless."
I GOT SO MUCH LIFE FROM THAT!
-
she is so amazing. come to new york!!
-
She would be a great rapper
@moneysexndrugzz
When you're agnostic when it comes to religion it means that you don't necessarily believe in god but you also can't say for sure that you don't, basically it's the "I have to see it to believe it" type of attitude. What Alysia was trying to say in this line was she'll believe in love when she feels as if she has truly felt it.
*hope this helps!
