  • When you use the tool to tighten at the root do you then palm roll the length of your locs?

  • @bmjm1974 .

If you are using the tool right after washing your hair, then yes palm roll the length.

I find it easier on me when the hair is dry, this way all you are doing is retighting the roots. The length

doesn't need to be palmed rolled when the hair is dry or has been previously ( a day or even a week old) washed.

  • i used to get this done for my locs but then the texture got weird, they'd be fat at the places that I interlocked it then skinny. I don't like the bumps, maybe I'm doing it wrong.

  • @danyellogram

Hello Danyellogram, whoever was doing it for you should have alternate......I don't believe in Just using the tool for the reasons you mentioned, again there needs to be balanced.

  • U CAN MAKE A TOOL FROM A WIRE PAPERCLIP...

    1. stretch it out till it is as straight as u can get it

    2. then fold it in half evenly and twist the bottom 1/4 of the way up (like a twisty tie)

    3. finally, u can use a small amount of duct tape or masking tape to cover the twisted part so u wont scratch urself or snag ur hair

    {I have locs myself and i interlock mi hair and mi clients hair...experience = 15yrs doing hair}

  • @Yardie1Diva , Thank you Yardie1 Diva, Whatever works right?

  • I actually started my locs using the interlock method. For a short period (probably 5-6 months into locing) I tried twisting my lcos. Bad choice. I twisted my hair for a total of 1month and you can see the issues within my locs. The interloc portion is thick and matting properly, but the twisted part is thin!! Crazy thing is I went to a loctician to twist my locs.. now recently passing my 1year, I am hoping those areas loc up and that my ends properly seal. Interloc rocks!!

  • @atlantalocs Thank you so much for responding and so quickly! This was so helpful!

  • Thank goodness, the music has changed

  • Love you locs. Check out dreadcap.com a 22'inch crinkle night cap would look gook on you. Go on youtube and see dread cap review that a customer did. Have a nice day and thank you.

  • Hi, how much do you charge for retwisting locs??

  • Or you can use a bobby pin. I found that to be just as effective, :D

  • the music makes this vid very ironic lol,

    thanks for the tip! x
