Part 5 in the series where John W. Nixon from Eagle Lake Woodworking builds an Arts and Crafts Style Pool table.

This 11 minute video focuses the Corbels of the leg system. The design of the corbels is discussed and the techniques used to create them are shown in detail.

The corbels add to the authentic look of the Arts and Crafts style legs.

This video covers:

The design of the corbels.

Application of veneer on a curved surface.

Pattern routing.

Lamination techniques.

The quartersawn white oak veneer selected for the corbels looks great, and the corbels turned out looking like a thick solid piece of oak.

Quartersawn white oak gives this Mission Style pool table an authentic Arts and Crafts look.

  • Wow, I loved the end product of all your hard work. Hard to imagine the time that went in, considering I only just watched the summary of all 5 videos in 50 minutes or whatever.

Really gorgeous look in your end product. I really appreciated the videos!

  • @andrewseburn Thanks for your nice comment. The videos do take a lot of time, but I'm happy to share my woodworking experience with you and the rest of the world.

  • I'm very impressed with your video's John, they are great on many levels. Your high quality workmanship speaks for itself, but also the way you have presented the work, your clear commentry and camera work also. All aspecs are of a very high standard and you should be proud of the outcome.

  • Thanks for the nice compliment! It takes a lot of time to do the videos, but if I'm helping people learn woodworking then it's all worthwhile. I'll finish this darn pool table some day. Thanks again for your nice comment!
