This movie needs to be approached with the right attitude and mood. Not the best movie to watch when your tired and lying in bed. It's an experience, it's art. Tree of life is like going to the opera, the symphony, or an art exhibit. The movie takes patience and an open mind...The movie is slow and introspective, that makes it easy to loose the common movie audience. Still if you give it a chance and watch it as a movie art experience rather than just a movie, i think you will find true depth.

to me movies would be a long dead art form if movies like this did not come out every now and then... don't watch this to be "entertained" choose other movies for that... funny thing is Brad Pitt's problem is he is so good looking that you forget what a great actor he is... he is great in this movie, really great as the dad. And where did they find these kids? amazing....
