  • The Indiscretion of an American Wife

  • Monty said- D. Selznick was an interfering fuckface!¨ He was, man...He fucked up this movie completely. Vittorio is a great director, who´s also made Bicycle Thiefs. But with asshole like Selznick theres nothing you can do about it.

  • Indimenticabile Monty... bravissima anche Jennifer Jones!!

  • what an utterly SUPERB scene, Monty is so unbelievably good! shame De Sica couldn't salvage this film - the combination of Monty and 'real' neorealism would have been tremendous to watch.

  • ffpphashfdnldnlqffkkjbad!!! My GOD he is so beautiful and so ... passionate. *faints dead away at his feet* Even if part of me is like "he'd do what to you?! Smack him in the head and flounce away right now, woman!" But god those eyes, that mouth ... the ... *swoons again*

  • I saw the movie recently, and while the film has it's faults, Monty is wonderful. He makes the most of it and is incredibly engaging and captivating to watch.

  • That was PERFECTION! Monty played that scene so naturally that I actually believed every word he said and pleaded with Jennifer Jones to go with him! I've seen both versions of the film and think it was somehow lacking, but Monty's performance makes up for its shortcomings. (any failure was due to JJ's husband D. Selznick, by the way.) If only one could go back in time and save Monty from whatever it was that shattered his life so. Seeing him like this just brings me to tears! Oh, Monty!

  • Oooh god you have made my day by posting this scene!!!! Monty is too gorgeous for words!!!! What a devastatingly handsome man! And what a magnificent actor he was....so perfect in this scene! Thank you!
