Then he should have sent that back, got a new one, taken it (or sent it) back to the store that he got it from and put it towards an Arai. I am sure he is a big guy, but that doesn't stop him acting in a stupid manner. better to keep his cool and do the smart thing than lose his temper and throw away $120 bucks inho. If people don't let the manufacturers know there is a problem, it doesn't get fixed...

One of my friends bought this helmet, broke 2 shields while trying to flip them up while riding. He ended up smashing it with a hammer and ordered the Arai version. I tried the Arai and bought the Shoei Hornet

Sometimes you can't fix stupid. Your friend has obviously never heard of warranty which would have fixed or replaced his helmet...AFX is made down to a price to satisfy a demand for people who can't afford or justify the cost of an Arai or Shoei which are clearly much better quality, but the visor shouldn't have broken, given your friend's subsequent action, I would put the breakage down to operator error...

This helmet saved my life, i hit a street post going 45 and the first thing that touched down was the helmet. the collision was caught on film. go to my channel to see that im not kidding, i wrecked the front of my dr 650. but i ended up fixing it :)

NO, you get what you pay for. I should have made his situation clearer. He DID return it for a new one and the new shield broke the exact same way (broke at the latch point)

As far as him being stupid, well, if you want to tell a bohemoth with OAKLAND 81 tattooed across his neck that he's stupid, more power to you.
