What is amazing is to me is that almost nobody remembers that the Cowboys almost came back to win the game after Clark's TD. Eric Wright brought Drew Pearsons down from behind [which would be considered a horsecollar} that would have been a touchdwon for the Cowboys. A play ot two later, Lawrence Pillers hit White and fumbled the ball. The ball was recover by Jim Stuckey and the 49ers won the game 28-27.

Another interesting tidbit about this game is that the 49ers turned the ball over 6 times and still won. That is unbelievable.

Yes, qman66, Scully was a CBS football, golf and tennis announcer from 75 thru 82. This was his last game. He went on to do NBC Game of the Week and post-season coverage (baseball) for the rest of that decade.

I agree, but the thing everyone calls "amazing" is that montana was throwing it away, and he got to it. But also, it was the circumstances. The throw Tyree got to and the play Manning did to get away was MUCH MORE AMAZING than this... right?
