The only pride that makes sense is pride in something which you have control over, meaning your own doings/accomplishments. Anything else, such as pride in a country, and for some people even in their dick's size (you can't make this shit up) is absurd.

Patriotism makes people easy to manipulate. Just look at Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia... and even the US nowadays.

Sorry, but it was way worse during the bush administration. They made it a point to make you feel like a traitor if you disagreed with them. You may be getting that from obama supporters, just like republicans insist he in a nazi, just as the anti-bush side cheered during the bush administration.

Bottom line: Support of your president does not equal patriotism! Remember the Constitution of the United States of America! Screw your flaming parties.

I think that Obama does have good ideas (by that I mean I agree with what he "says"), but I just wish he would follow through with them.
