The bus arrived in Derby at 10.45 am, in ample time for its scheduled departure at 10.50 am. However, the passengers did not expect management to delay the bus by 20 mins. The reaason was that the ticket machine was the wrong colour. It was yellow, and had to be changed to green to match the exterior colour scheme of the transpeak service. The seats were blue and yellow, so why did the ticket machine have to match? Management had decided that it was more important to change the machine to one of a matching colour than worry about the timekeeping of the bus. It left 20 mins late, and was further delayed by another couple of minutes on my journey, so that at Northwood, Peak Rail, it was 22 minutes late.

It got a good airing on Radio Nottingham...hope you have listened to the other video, complete with the spokesman from TrentBarton saying that they got it wrong. But what amazed me at the time was that someone in management thought it would be alright to change the machine while passengers were waiting!
