@AdventuresWithDad You've taken me to the level of "family home screen cinema entertainment" lol. Really nice to hear you got the kids involved..all be it after they were champing at the bit to drag you out and go do outdoorsy stuff :-) I'll give them a thumbs up ( and you and wife) and Akasha will dog paw and tail wave next time we're out. Really appreciate the content of your comment buddy. Cheers to your family.

@RallohE Thanks. Yes it's a great base camp away from normal terrain, dog loves it to, for her it beats the average dogs walk in the park. Cheers.

@tokenminds Thanks for your interest. Good suggestion about those little kits, it's good to be thinking of what you can do with stuff beyond what it's originally used for, nice one. Will check them out. Cheers.

@byronlegend You've highlighted some great places to be outdoors especially as you live near to them - result! Hey and thanks for favouring my channel, much obliged. "Be out there" Cheers.
Another great adventure, who needs holiday home if we can get that. Thank You for Your response. I found Your channel at winter and start research, especially about colorado canoe. I found that those boats are bad in cross winds, as You mansion in this video. You could use side fins for stability, that move up when they hit river bed. They would provide stability in straight line and cross winds. Just something i found when researching.
Thank You for inspiration once again

@mawic1 Thanks for your feedback. Have considered stablising device in the past, it's great if you don't have too much portageing in and out the water and not much kit to transit otherwise one would spend more time & effort out of the water than in - moveing the stuff about. I must admit if I were to navigate in real tempest waters I'd use a hard shell canoe as they track more safely. I think I would still consider what you say here for maybe a project in the future :-) All the best!

@MINDWISEMAN Thanks, and i didn't think about added complicity. I gathered wast amount of gear since i got hooked up on Your channel. Used it mostly on walking trails, sometimes carrying 20kg backpack just for few kilometers, because i could not decide what to leave behind. I am working on my friend now, to get on water with me :) so thanks for advice and wait for another adventure.
cheers

@mawic1 If you can take the load and the distance on trail physically then it's good to take what you want, then from experience and item preference it can start to reduce to what you actually like & need - hence reduce weight and volume. "Be out there and be safe" ....even better times to come :-)
All the best

@Shaun160668 In principle you need a waterways licence to navigate on the only public accessable 2,500mls of the total 40,000mls of British waters. Info' From British Canoe Union. "Put in" onto the rivers is the main consideration - as and where you can find places, plus non tresspassing. Cheers.
