@kb7254 Thats because Superman and Batman appeared in 1938-39. The best of the GANG shorts were between 1922 -1935. These kids had Tarzan, Flash Gordon, Dick Tracy, The Shadow, The Phantom and Doc Savage as their pulp characters.
