Get a load of this. Business partners led by former basketball coach Bernard Ebbers sketched out their idea for a long distance company on a napkin in a coffee shop in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Their company -- originally called LDDS -- went public in 1989 and merged with MCI in 1998. At that time the company was known as WorldCom but the name was later changed to MCI.

The largest VSAT network was deployed by Spacenet and MCI. VSAT technology is used for two-way satellite Internet providers such as HughesNet, StarBand and WildBlue in the United States; and ASTRA2Connect across Europe. These services are used across the world as a means of delivering broadband Internet access to locations which cannot get less expensive broadband connections such as ADSL or cable internet access; usually remote or rural locations.

My guess is that between 1.5 million and 2 million people rely on VSAT. I use it. In fact, I uploaded this video using a dish and modem purchased from HughesNet.

But the Network described in my video is a network of PEOPLE. They call themselves the Red-Black Alliance. Yes, they are real.

  • You DO understand my thesis? A certain political group is using the Internet to manipulate huge crowds world wide. I illustrate the reactive behavior of crowds using the analogy of 12 cats charging my "little green truck." Unusual behavior for cats, right?

The images on the screen are random clues -- evidence -- of such manipulation. Ongoing investigation, soliciting information, provoking thought, hoping to ID the perps, send them to the slammer, etc. I am actually quite focused.

  • You are... uh, quite correct... but, um... I can't... I can't... um. (Damn. I forgot what I was saying). Well, anyway. I am sorry. I truely wish I could do better. I know this is a pain to listen to. Thanks for your patience thus far! Um... : P
