@rcfollies Any forced induction on ported engines is pretty much worthless, they need intake and exhaust valves to make use of all the extra air a turbo or supercharger brings in - in a a ported engine the exhaust and intake ports are open at the same time, so any extra air a turbo pushes just goes right out through the open exhaust port. A 4stroke methanol engine would however benefit, but I dont think there are any car sized rc engines in production atm.
If turbos worked on rc cars ,dont u think they would have a racing class for that. I think it looks cool but i really doubt its effectiveness. If we could see some specs instead mouthpieces u might be able to convince me.
@Megabyteme325 Nah its an ABC motor. i generaly dont touch the porting on the sleave, bit i do polish the ports so it;s super smooth, but most of my mods are done on the crank shaft and on the carb, plus i do a few very small mods on the engine block. other than that they are mostly stock engines.
@xrayracer1 if it's a ringed motor be careful. generally aero motors don't need mods. Well the rb928 and the nova528 were 9 port motors counting the transfers. that gave them the full economy. As for power there still in the top rated even though they aren't made anymore.
@Megabyteme325 yeah i do all my engine mods my self, but what i do is make everything run more efficiently. i might get a little more power or torque, but i aim for longer run times. for example i got a 16 minute run out of my O.S .28xz truggy engine. it pissed off all guys racing their electric truggys as i only had to do on pit stop! I'm even thinking of modding one of my airplane engines to see what happens LOL!!
@spitfoo thats all i knew i could tell that much but thats about it
