Plastic bag are recyclable you just need the facilities to do it. The only reason businesses are on the get rid plastic bags is for the money. A large grocery store can spend $1200 to $1500 a month on plastic bags. Paper bags are another option and are bio degradable but cost 2-3 time the cost of plastic. The love of money is the root of all evil when big business jumps on the environment religion you best check there motives.
