I am die die die hard fan of ilayaraja-Kamal. Two True geniuses gifted to Tamil Cinema.
No match to them in the whole of India.
Ilayaraja Sir deserves a "Bharat Ratna" atleast by now. Indian Govt Please wake up & recognize this genius for what he has done to music world.
He is been under valued by people in North who does not know him & his knowledge in composing.

What I really like is the way Kamal gets the output. Kamal clearly has in mind what he wants, including the Film Title, the song type . Especially for the Kanmani song, notice how kamal brings illayaraja to compose tune for his lyrics, initially kamal starts as if he wants a tune, then brings illayaraja to compose tune for the words... Ofcourse Illayaraja understands this ...and gives what Kamal wants.. Brilliant ...Thanks for uploading this audio clip
