Under hypnosis, I recalled this video and using positron emission tomography cycled directly to a Gyrus 600S Cerebral Cortex Neuro-Synaptic HDMI Interface hooked to a DVR. It took a few tries to get it right, needless to say. The original was from way back in 1988, created with a lot of time on a Remington Typewriter. Ever seen a typewriter kid? 3-D Analog texting at its finest and slowest. No back-delete button here! Ya screw up, you're gonna spend a lot of time fixing it or starting all over again. Typed a lot of college term papers on an Underwood Touch-Master 5 Typewriter. Probably killed a dozen trees on my way to a degree. Did I also mention my college job regularly delivering pizza to the Roosevelts at the White House? Geez, Eleanor was way uglier in person. I should have made them pay for therapy...But ya know the war was on and everything. We all sacrificed.

  • I remember this showcasing in the Spike and Mikes Festival of Animation that I saw on VHS so many times the tape itself actually melted and I only had my lost memory as well. So lost in fact it was erased by my spat years of drug use and all I could remember when I 'pegged in' was Bambi Meets Godzilla.

Needless to say, thanks for remembering and sharing.

  • @infomatic Thanks. Yep, saw it at Mike & Spike's as well, maybe 1989-90. Found it on a little advertised DVD of Spike & Mike's. I ripped it and then brought it into my editing tools to clean up the image and EQ'd the audio and added noise reduction. It's a brilliant little piece of whimsy for sure. Glad you're out of the fog!

  • @infomatic We were there too! In La Jolla or someplace- I was drawing a picture sitting on the sidewalk in front of the theater, and it's hanging here on the wall next to me! That was like 20 years ago...also bought the VHS tape that night!

  • Saw this in a theater in Montreal. The crowd laughed!

  • Better resolution but tape drop-outs. Not too bad, though.

  • Not on a Smith-Carona? Sacrilege! SCM FTW!
