@alex134219 Your wages aren't what determine how wealthy you are, it's what those wages can buy, in clothing, food, shelter, entertainment and so on. The average wage-earner today commands more real wealth---in both quality and abundance---than at any point in history. Had you worked as a burger-flipper in 1950, versus doing that today, not only are your wages greater today, but more importantly, they can also *buy* more stuff than they did then---and THAT is the true measure of progress.

Look at North Korea, or the former USSR. It collapsed for a reason. I know so many doctors who are now here from Russia in the U.S, look at Chicago for example. These Doctors came here when Russia was the Soviet Union. These Doctors were young but in few years time lost almost all morale as they realized they had the same wages as the man who cleans the ambulance. That kind of society does not give you any drive to do anything.

With the bail out money they bought out banks/corps that did not get the bail out and gave each other bonuses with tax payer money.
