Shows a display board intended for use with a Warhammer Fantasy Skaven army. The board measures 18" x 24" and has a composite wood frame chosen to match the army and board colors. Discussion of the unique elements to the board are included, such as the fine foliage trees, and the raised area designed to frame a hell pit abomination. Similar boards could be used for other gaming systems such as Lord of the Rings, Warmachine, Hordes, 40k, and the like.

  • I been M.I.A for a while but..

Man it's cool to see you and your workspace:)

    Nice job on the board!

Your right about the constraints of a horde army!

The rocks make a nice difference:)

  • @stumpythumper Thanks. Glad your back. :)

  • Love seeing the Fall setting... Don't seem to see that very often.. Something I took note of awhile ago.. Glad to see this one.. The trees are awesome...

After reading your response to MoreDakka101 I would have to think that even though it has it's own limitations, the spray adhesive after getting it in place with some PVA would probably be your best choice to try to set it more permanent..

  • @jimeronimo The trick with spray adhesive is that it really gives a strong dusted appearance. (At least the ones I have tried.) Might be all hidden by the foliage. It might be workable though with the right touch. Hmmm... Interesting thought. Thanks.

  • nice fall trees! I want to start using trees like you have there but I find that the leaves and such tend to fall off with usage and storage and can get a little messy. Is there anything you can recommend to help with that?

  • @MoreDakka101 Actually, no I don't think you can really fix this type of foliage firmly. Normally, soaking it in dilute pva would work but there are problems with that. This type of foliage is attached with HobbyTac (Woodland Scenic product) rather than my usual hot glue. The hot glue would be too hard to hide here, so the hobbytac was used as it dries very clear/flat. But, its water soluable, and soaking it will cause it to release. Matte spray doesn't really hold well either. *shrug*
