if the cts works so well why dont nasa use them on the launch pad....the truth is current travels the least resistances to ground...if multi points stoped lighting then a tree would never be struck

Observations: 1. The protection zone is extremely small! 2. The protection device produces the same blue discharges as the lightning rod. 3. The discharges are audible and thus onset streamer corona and not glow corona, which would be silent. Conclusion: When in VERY close proximity, the lightning rod becomes shielded by the charges produced by the sharper points of the device. Just as each sharp point is shielded by its neighboring sharp points. Device will fail at slightly higher voltage.

It seems too good to be true that those things can prevent lightning strike. I think there's something forgetfulness in your experimentation , which is, what about if the lightning rod isn't there. What will happen if the CTS is stand alone?
Can you answer me?
If the lightning rod isn't there or the CTS is standing alone, the CTS will still prevent the strike. The lightning rod is in the video for demonstrating that it will take a strike, and it will be protected when it is moved into the protection envelope of the CTS.
