You know folks i saw Shane and Popes at the Morecambe punk festival. Other singers wanted to break down the back walls. This man was breaking down the back streets, the beyond towns. his voice was the mightiest hammer that has ever been struck. and when he sang this song I was shaking. I'm not weak, but I was shaking.

This is great but I have to give my preference to Luke Kelly.
-
Hope they come back to Zagreb again....Greetings from Croatia!

how does this only have 40,000 views?
-
no. i love this version. but i still reckon the Luke Kelly acapella version with the Dubliners is the best.

@hejafish I wouldn't say there are many just like this one, but Misty Morning Albert Bridge, Summer in Siam, Kitty, I'm a Man You Don't Meet Every Day (sung by bassist Cait O'Riordan), The Old Main Drag, The Band Played Waltzing Matilda, A Pair of Brown Eyes, Fairytale of New York and Lullaby of London are some of their best ballads.

@hejafish thousands are sailing, streets of sorrow/birmingham six, navigator, a pair of brown eyes
simply brilliant!!! this is by far the best version!
