UPDATE: I fixed this using ImageX. Thanks Justin. :)

This happened to me twice last night, and once today. Was installing off a DVD.

Really annoying, it might be because I deleted /sources/ei.cfg from the DVD so I could install Professional.

  • how do you fixed that???? pleas tell me!!

  • If you have enough bandwidth, it can be fixed by re-downloading the ISO of Windows 7 from a different source (you could also try re-burning the disc at a slower speed), but otherwise it's a complicated process of using ImageX and CMD.

  • Rename the title to

"Noob has no clue what he is doing".

  • Oh really, I had no problems installing 6801, 7000, 7057, 7100, and 7229. What did I do wrong here?

Yes, I DID burn the disk at the slowest speed.
