@grizzlybear0 Hi, Grizzly! I colleague of mine at the university - a guitar teacher - has had focal dystonia for many years now and practises, though differently, almost every day. He notices improvement in his condition and never gives up hope; don't you either. Please write to tell us how or if the supports helped or not; for your sake I hope they helped relax the hand(s). All the best, howie

Whoever runs this sight- I don't know what gets into such a person's head, for to take all the time to place great classical Itish music videos on YouTube like Mr. Horan, and then destroy it with long tawdry ads from plastic contemporary Pop culture that feature a repugnant noisy music the polar opposite of what is being presented... well... it's just the thing to kill the mother lode.

You have posted many fine boxwood flute players. To my taste this fellow is the king. He makes a fabulous contrast in his tone between the warm fundamental of the earth- yet a silvery lightly distorted overtone of the sky that creates a huge space in between the two. He doesn't just ramble efficiently with his fingers leading the way- but rather titter-totters hither-thither in a way that is very alive and non-mechanized. Bravo to you, Peter!
Peter Horan was one of the most wonderful gentlemen I have ever met in the traditional Irish music world. He was so lovely to play with, a fine sense of rhythm, a unique style, a link to the older Sligo style, rarely heard live now. He was welcoming, encouraging, great craic, lovely sense of humour, interesting to talk to and just the most lovely person I could ever have hoped to meet. I am so proud to have known him and privileged to have played with him. His death is a great loss to us all. AL
