Through the OpenLearn website The Open University gives free access to a huge selection of its course materials to the public. The online multimedia materials are available under a Creative Commons license for anyone to download and amend.
Here, Freda Wolfenden of the Faculty of Education and Language Studies talks about how open educational resources can change the way in which academics create courses and work with associate lecturers at The Open University. She also mentions Compendium knowledge mapping software and FlashMeeting video conferencing - free learning tools available from the OpenLearn website.
