I feel sorry for the ones who had to pick that trash up.

@23literford140 I know what you mean----Havent seen this commercial in YEARS!!!!!! Yes, thanks for uploading it!!!!

I remember this commercial - it was produced by the very talented Julian Cole. As I recall, the Corvair was selected in part because the engine was in the rear, which made it easier to remove the front hood and place a rear pointing camera for some of the shots. The closing quote was from Walt Kelly (Pogo)

I CAN'T GET THIS SONG OUT OF MY HEAD! I grew up seeing the 90's version, but this one is way more soulful and rockin'. Whew!

I was just talking about the JFG "come butter come" ad and am trying to find a recording of it....no luck but have found the history of the nursery rhyme. It actually goes back a couple of centuries. Also knew Irv Kane back in the day....great guy.

If I am not mistaken.. I think it was a JFG commerical of some sorts... I do remember it... I am in Morristown, TN and we also received WCYB from Bristol, and that commercial aired on the Knoxville stations as well.. But I am 99% sure it was a JFG coffee commercial or some other JFG product commercial. Hope this helps..

Excellent find, I remember it...
now, does anyone remember some kind of thing that played often, maybe late '70's. Had 1 or 2 grandmothers showing how to make or just churning butter by hand in old churn, to the vocals of (country accent - just listen to me)..."come, butter come...come, butter come..." ? I remember it, so does my friend, probably on WCYB Bristol.

I am from Nashville and I recall this as a kid, too! Thanks.
Wow, I haven't seen this in 30 years. I was a kid when this was on TV in TN. I just thought of it and here it is on YT. Thanks for uploading. Wow, amazing that some commercials stick in the recesses of your memory even after all these years.

This coomment must be split. Part 1.
Um,
I don't know, that may be sung by Earl Bruce, but it definitely STARS our older brother Irving Kane, who passed in 1993. Tennessee Trash made him a household name in Tennessee, but he was also a composer of classical music, who conducted the Nashville Symphony playing his compositions in Tennessee and at Carnegie Hall. see part II
