  • @rasmustin Wow. You just put Pops, Stravinsky, and Bird in the same category with the fucking Beatles?!?! Were you a young girl during the 60's or something?

  • @ironcross427 If you keep listening, you will find the level of imagination in Parker's playin is endless. One take to the next is different. I disagree that he "recycles."

  • @thetornado And why wouldn't you? If you're suggesting the Beatles don't belong, then you've taken yourself out of the conversation. Might as well dump Armstrong, too. ... And Ellington and Robert Johnson belong on that list, too.

  • @MrJehosefat That's just among those who can't play it!

  • @ironcross427 someone who practiced 13-15 hours a day every single day is going to be a little bit above recycling his own riffed ideas!

  • @MrJehosefat snobbery? you don't know the right cats man

  • The worst part about jazz is the snobbery.

  • @Salamity09 Yes he did!

  • Das zieht rein... bester bebob, das bringts!!!

  • Wow, a young Red Garland in 1953, before his Coltrane days. The tune is too fast for his block chords, but you can hear traces of his later riff playing. What a treat!

  • check out the german swiss riff at 0.40sec...

  • The title "Moose the Mooche" is named after Parker's heroine dealer btw.
