R2D2 Engagement Ring - A Wedding Proposal Made Possible by CustomMade and Paul Michael Designs

http://www.CustomMade.com Several months ago, Joe was looking for an extra-ordinary engagement ring for his girlfriend. He found CustomMade through a friend who is a woodworker on the site, and posted a project. Right away, CustomMade Verified jeweler Paul Michael Bierker of Paul Michael Designs stepped in and promised Joe that he would create this amazing ring for his very lucky girlfriend. The force is definitely strong in these two!

Here is an email Joe sent us shortly after he proposed:

The proposal just happened to work itself out. It was a bit more reactionary than planned. We met at work, Shotsie's Tattoo in Wayne, NJ a few years back. We worked together for a bit and then love worked its way in there. Although we no longer work there, we remain part of the family at the shop. Every year on halloween they get all geeked out in costume and work. This year, I had gotten the ring the day before (it was 6 months in the making). It wasn't my original plan, but seemed to all fall into place. Emily dressed up as Lucy Van Pelt from Peanuts and asked me to couple up and go as Charlie Brown. So, as we all gathered for a photo in front of the shop I started to ramble a bit and then popped the question. I wanted to share the moment with the parties responsible. I attached the video that a friend had captured...I know it would have been better in star wars gear, but that might have compromised the bigger picture. Though Charlie Brown proposing to Lucy is still kind of a fun thing too! Yes, we are also peanuts geeks! There are many levels of geek not only in this story but also in our lives!

Joe proposed during a Halloween party at the tattoo shop where he and his fiancé met and used to work. He wanted to share the special moment with all of their friends :)
