  • Amazing video quality! I need to find a hit of acid and watch this again! Thanks for posting.

  • @putzengiler Not Sam Lay, but Billy Davenport (East-West).

Correct on all athers. Peace brother.

  • @thewiredrabbit You are quite welcome. However, Kooper left after the first BS&tT album and they went from being a heavy, bluesy band to being more of a lounge act with David Clayton-Thomas on vocals.

  • @Sargebri Great info, thanks!

  • Unnhhhh, yeah. This WOULD be Monterey Pop; not the Jazz Festival.

Although the Jazz Festival does traditionally feature a blues afternoon & evening, it is always in the fall, not June.

  • Wonder if Stevie Windwood got any inspiration for "Gimme Some Lovi'n) from this?

  • Of course, Kooper's old band the Blues Project played this song the very next night during their set. Kooper had left them after what he said was a very bad acid trip. However, his departure was due to the fact that he wanted to make a few changes to the band such as adding a horn section. Of course, the very next year he formed Blood, Sweat and Tears with another former Blues Project member, Steve Katz on guitar.

  • @putzengiler Yep. That is Brooks on bass.

  • with Elvin Bishop coooooooooooool man

  • Digging the vibe! ☼ ;-j
