Of course, Kooper's old band the Blues Project played this song the very next night during their set. Kooper had left them after what he said was a very bad acid trip. However, his departure was due to the fact that he wanted to make a few changes to the band such as adding a horn section. Of course, the very next year he formed Blood, Sweat and Tears with another former Blues Project member, Steve Katz on guitar.

Unnhhhh, yeah. This WOULD be Monterey Pop; not the Jazz Festival.
Although the Jazz Festival does traditionally feature a blues afternoon & evening, it is always in the fall, not June.
